Introduce Your Child to the Language of the Old Testament

This vibrant board book teaches key Hebrew words from the Bible and helps place important biblical events in proper order.

Hebrew 101 for Little Ones

Did you know that an overwhelming majority of the Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew? This beautiful and ancient language enriches our understanding of Scripture and deepens our love for Elohim, our Creator and Judge.

Hallelujah, the latest offering in the innovative Baby Believer® series, introduces children to 10 essential Hebrew words from the Bible—their written appearance, definition, and pronunciation—and familiarizes little ones with the timeline of major events in God’s Word from creation to Revelation.

Danielle Hitchen longs for people to see and understand God’s big story in the everyday world around them. She is enthusiastic about church history and tradition, mental and emotional health, and living the good life. By day, Danielle is a reluctant homeschool mom, acceptable homemaker, and longtime associate producer of the Hugh Hewitt Show. In her spare time, she is also the author of the Baby Believer series, founder of Catechesis Books, and occasional writer of other things (like this book). Danielle loves good stories, big ideas, and beautiful design. She and her husband live near Washington, DC, where they can be found enjoying Smithsonians and playgrounds with their three children, good conversations with their friends, and Virginia vineyards with each other.

Jess Blanchard is an illustrator, hand-letterer and graphic designer. Jess has loved art from a young age, taking watercolor classes and other creative courses throughout her life. She graduated from James Madison University and has also studied at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. She began her career as a graphic designer but her recent shift to being an illustrator has been a welcome change. Bible Basics was the first book she illustrated. She has loved the opportunity to make beautiful art for faith-based children’s books and hopes that it will light up the libraries of families around the world.

She and her husband Seth have three children, including their daughter who was adopted through foster care, and live outside of Washington, DC in Falls Church, Virginia. They love trying the newest and best restaurants in the area, getting outdoors and enjoying nature, and spending quality time with friends and family.
